BACKGROUND
A
powerful NVA and VC force will assault the area from three
directions during the traditional Tet ceasefire. The
Communists are expected to overrun the surprised ARVN
defenders and raised the Vietcong flag U.S. Marines are
dispatched, dispatched from their base to the south to
recapture the area and raise the government flag.
Pro
US Forces Briefing
Your AVRN unit has orders to secure a friendly village due to the
traditional Tet ceasefire.
However reports have arrived that a powerful VC force
led by NVA officers is forming up to attack your position. You
have made contact with the nearby US Marine base and they
have promised that assistance will arrive in 15 minutes by
truck. Orders are
clear; you must hold the villages until the Marines arrive. It is especially important the communist do not
achieve a propaganda victory by tearing down your
governments flag
Communist Briefing
Time has come to teach the South Vietnamese and their American friends a
lesson. Our objective
is clear, quickly overrun the enemy position; tear down the
enemies flag; and then secure the village against enemy
counter attacks. Limited reserves are available.
