Operation Gothic Serpent
This Live-Play covers
the events of the 3rd &
4th of Oct 1993. The
main elements were Bravo
Company 3rd Battalion,
75th Ranger regiment,
1st Special Forces
Operational
Detachment-Delta (1st
SFOD-D; better known as
"Delta Force")
operators, and Somali
Militia Fighters loyal
to Warlord Mohammed
Farrah Aid. The story is
told in the book & film
"Black Hawk Down"
In total it will have
about 6 Phases that link
together. We will be
running the first 3 or 4
phases during the
Special Forces session
on the 15th March 2008,
with the help of
Auxiliary CO Captain
Maccheroni.

 Live
Action Role Playing (LARP)
is an extension of the
traditional roleplaying
games. Although,
all Battlefield LIVE missions
can be considered, in
the broadest sense, live
roleplaying. Within the
LARP, there are a lot
more unknowns. The idea
behind live role-playing
is that people you encounter
may, or may not, be hostile.
A great deal of deductive
reasoning comes into play,
as questions arise - "are
they friendly?; can they
help us?; can we trust
them?"oh crap, they are
hostile!" |
